It Gets Hot in Vegas

So, you either live in Las Vegas, are moving to Las Vegas, or you are planning a trip to Las Vegas. Maybe you are coming to town for a quickie wedding or maybe you are coming to celebrate your birthday or anniversary. Let me tell you something about Las Vegas that I’m sure you already know… Vegas gets HOT in the summer! Triple digits for days on end. Yes, it’s true that it’s a dry heat but hot is hot. If you used to living in heat and humidity like I was when I moved to town, it won’t seem that bad. I’m telling you though, if you are out in it, drink plenty of water and wear some sunscreen. (Okay, enough of the mom talk!)

Walking around The Strip can be lots of fun. People watching at it’s finest! But, what about when it’s hot, hot, hot outside? There are so many awesome things to do in Las Vegas when it gets too hot to be outdoors and I’m going to share just a few ideas!

I’ll get the shameless plug out of the way first ;)

Can you feel the steam???

#1 - get inside with a photoshoot!

Starting this list off with my favorite way to stay cool! Stay indoors and have a photoshoot with Pam Fields Photography! This can be a portrait, women’s boudoir, male boudoir, couples boudoir, art nude photoshoot or an erotica session. I work with individuals, couples, and groups. Either in your home, our private studio, or your hotel room, a session with Pam Fields Photography is a great way to have some fun in a safe and cool environment.

Yes, outdoors sessions are an option even during summer but seriously, it’s hot outside and it’s cool inside. Now, one of the great things about a boudoir session is that it’s climate controlled! But, let me still warn you, sometimes there might be a little steam! Boudoir sessions can get a bit HOT and that’s year round!

#2 head to a cool spot!

At the Shoppes, the popular Minus5 Ice Experience provides the chill as Vegas temperatures rise to triple digits. It’s located on a skywalk linking Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Also check out the location at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian.

# 3 get a rubdown and relax!

Another great way to beat the heat while in Las Vegas, visit the spa! The Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace not only offers a variety of spa services but also has another way to cool off....the Arctic Ice Room.

In the Arctic Ice Room snow gently descends from a domed ceiling through mint-infused air chilled to 55F (13 C.) The room is a therapeutic cold treatment used in contrast with saunas and Roman baths. Don’t worry though, you will recline on a heated bench as you enjoy the snowlakes falling around you. Talk about a way to COOL off!

A variety of massages, facials and treatments are available for individuals and couples  https://www.caesars.com/caesars-palace/things-to-do/qua#.XzmWYGjYq3A

#4 get wet!!

The first and largest national recreation area in the United States, Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers boating, jet skiing, and rafting. Lake Las Vegas provides family fun with a 40,000-square-foot floating Aqua Park. The lake’s water sports complex also offers standup paddle boarding, flyboard experiences and kayaking.  This is such a great way of cooling off and getting away for the city for a bit!

#5 check out the chills!

Cool it off with something cool! Check out the awesome Planet Hollywood - Supernova Shakes. In typical Las Vegas fashion, these extreme milkshakes are loaded and topped with sweets that make them out of this world delicious. You can also check out the selection at Black Tap in Venetian. They are all so delicious and sure to cool you off!

#6 take a dip!

And of course, if you don’t want to leave The Strip, you can stay cool by the pool at one of the many day clubs — Liquid Pool Lounge at Aria and Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM Grand are always great!  The Cosmopolitan’s adults-only Marquee pool is open 11 a.m. until sunset Fridays to Sundays, with resident DJs and plenty of food and drink. As with any day club, always check to see if you need reservations beforehand.
